Mammoth Cave cabin rentals for the perfect vacation
Hickory Cabins are located two miles north of Mammoth Cave National Park boundary (7 1/2 miles to the visitors center taking the Green River Ferry)and six miles from Nolin Lake State Park with amenities such as hot tubs, Wi-Fi, and satellite. We provide a remote, secluded getaway for your outdoor activities such as hiking, horseback riding, canoeing, kayaking, mountain biking, disc golf or that special honeymoon.
We have the most centralized Mammoth Cave cabin rentals available in the Mammoth Cave National Park and Nolin Lake area. Our cabins are located on a lot carved out of our woods in the middle of 86 acres and were built by local Amish craftsmen. Our vacation rentals are all wood construction, a cabin look and feel with modern conveniences. We now have hot tubs at two of our cabins. Enjoy the local flora by playing Wolf Knob Disc Golf Course located on the property. Newly redesigned by John Houck, this 18-hole course is hilly, mostly tightly wooded with some open holes and elevation changes. We are currently working on our championship course, Mammoth Cave DGC designed by John Houck. Located at our office is Hickory Cabins Grill and Hickory Cabins Micro DGC.
Explore Mammoth Cave, the longest cave system in the world
Mammoth Cave National Park is best known for the longest cave system in the world. But there is more to experience than taking the excellent cave tours available. There are over 70 miles of hiking and horseback riding trails on the north side (link to trails map). Also, there are approximately 20 miles of off-road bicycle trails. Big Hollow, Maple Springs, and White Oak hiking and off-road bicycle trail heads are only four miles from our cabins (beginner and intermediate trails designed by The Bowling Green Chapter of the Kentucky Mountain Bike Association). Experience nature away from busy tourist attractions and relax after a day of hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking or a kayak trip down Green River.
Explore Nolin Lake’s 5,795 acres of boating and fishing
Do you prefer going to the beach or fishing? We are only six miles from Nolin Lake State Park. “A 5,795-acre lake makes Nolin Lake State Park a peaceful destination for recreation and relaxation. Enjoy the lake from the sand beach, launch your watercraft from the boat ramp, or take an afternoon exploring the lake by kayak. The park has a picnic pavilion, tables, and grills, for family outings and group events.” There is a 10.25-mile round trip mountain bike trail (advanced) designed by The Bowling Green Chapter of the Kentucky Mountain Bike Association.
