How close are you to Mammoth Cave National Park?
We are two miles from the park boundary and seven miles from the visitor center.

Do you have wireless internet access?
Yes, our cabins have wireless internet access. A password is not required to connect to the wireless router.

Do I need to bring pots & pans, dishes, etc?
Our kitchens are equipped with a few pans, skillet and a limited supply of plastic cups & paper plates. Due to local health codes, we can not supply plates, glasses, cups and silverware.

Is there a grocery store near by?
We are at least 20 miles from the closest town. There are some country stores close by with limited grocery’s. I would suggest stopping in Elisabethtown if coming from the north and Bowling Green if coming from the south. Once here the closest supermarket would be Munfordville, Cave City or Brownsville. A more complete list may be found in our local directory. A copy of our directory can be found in each cabin or downloaded here.

What should I bring with me?
You should bring your on plates, cups and silverware. Due to local health codes, we are not allowed to supply these things.

Do I need to bring my on sheets, pillows, towels etc?
We supply sheets, pillows, towels and wash cloths.

Do you have a hot tub or spa?
We currently have a six person spa and a two person whirlpool tub in Hickory Haven. There is also a three person spa at Nutmeg.

What wildlife will I see?
Wildlife are abundant around Mammoth Cave National Park. Deer can be seen mainly morning and evening around the fields close by. Early morning deer, Turkey, squirrels and birds of all kinds can be seen and heard any time of the day although squirrels and birds are most active during the early morning hours. Harder to find but always close by are numerous raccoons and the occasional fox and bobcats. If you stay in our Big Leaf cabin you will find behind the deck a tall tree with an owl’s nest. Are pets allowed?
Pets are not allowed in our cabins. We have a limited number of cabins for our guest and many people have pet allergies. When we have an appropriate number of cabins, this policy may change.

Are there any beaches near by?
We are six miles from the beach at Nolin Lake State Park.

How old must you be to be able to rent a cabin?
The minimum age to rent a cabin is 21.

Is there a place to build a fire at night.
Yes, each cabin has it’s own fire pit.

Should guest purchase fire wood prior to arriving at the cabin for the fire pit? There is wood available for a small fee at Big Leaf and Nutmeg cabins. Guest are free to use any deadwood found around the cabin.
