How close are you to Mammoth Cave National Park?
We are two miles from the park boundary and seven miles from the visitor center taking the Mammoth Cave Ferry.

Is there a charge for taking the Ferry?  There is no charge for using the ferry.

Do you have wireless internet access?
Yes, our cabins have wireless internet access. A password is not required to connect to the wireless router.

Do I need to bring pots & pans, dishes, etc?
We supply basic pots, pans and dishes.  For specialty cooking you should bring your own.

Is there a grocery store nearby?
We are at least 20 miles from the closest town. There are some country stores close by with limited groceries. I would suggest stopping in Elizabethtown if coming from the north and Bowling Green if coming from the south. Once here the closest supermarket would be Munfordville or Brownsville and there is a Family Dollar in Cub Run (6 miles).  A more complete list may be found in our local directory. Where is the closest Walmart?  The closest Walmart is in Litchfield about 30 minutes away.

Do I need to bring my on sheets, pillows, towels etc?
We supply sheets, pillows, towels and washcloths.

Do you have a hot tub or spa?
We currently have a six-person spa and a two-person whirlpool tub in Hickory Haven. There is also a three-person spa at Nutmeg.

What wildlife will I see?
Wildlife are abundant around Mammoth Cave National Park. Deer can be seen mainly morning and evening around the fields close by. Early morning deer, Turkey, squirrels and birds of all kinds can be seen and heard any time of the day although squirrels and birds are most active during the early morning hours. Harder to find but always close by are numerous raccoons and the occasional fox and bobcats.  Wildlife viewing suggestions may be found at here.

Are pets allowed?
Pets are not allowed in our cabins. We have a limited number of cabins for our guest and many people have pet allergies. When we have an appropriate number of cabins, this policy may change.

Are there any beaches nearby?
We are six miles from the beach at Nolin Lake State Park.

How old must you be to be able to rent a cabin?
The minimum age to rent a cabin is 21.

Is there a place to build a fire at night?
Yes, each cabin has its own fire pit.

Should guest purchase firewood prior to arriving at the cabin for the fire pit?  Guests are free to use any deadwood found around the cabin.
