You have just completed taking a couple of cave tours in Mammoth Cave. Now what do you do? A vacation to Mammoth Cave National Park can include numerous outside activities in addition to other caves in the area to visit. Above ground in Mammoth Cave National Park there are nature programs provided by the park service, hiking, backpacking, horseback riding, biking, canoeing and kayaking. Some of these activities are provided by outside sources but the activity is within park boundaries (horseback riding on park trails is provided by Double J Stables and canoeing, kayaking provided by four other outfitters). Outside the park you can find a beach at Nolin Lake State Park, fishing, golf courses, zip lines, disk golf courses and activities for children such as a petting zoo, a dinosaur theme park and a wildlife museum. Plan ahead and make that vacation one that you and your children will never forget!
